Thanks to all of you who came out and walked with us yesterday.  I’m still a bit astounded that Memory Walk fell on the 2nd anniversary of my mom’s death, but I can’t think of a better way to have honored her memory.  I rarely get nervous when speaking, but there was a moment before [...]

I’ve posted in the past about my friends at Eco-Libris, who make it easy to read green.  For every book read, they’ll plant a tree.  Now they’re pairing up with Simon and Schuster’s Little Green Books, the first ever eco-friendly kid’s line.  Little Green Books will be printed on recycled material and will help to teach and promote environmental causes to parents and [...]

“I’m Not Getting a Work Job”

The mantra this week in our house has been, “I’m not getting a work job.” A perfectly timed declaration as Luke heads back to preschool.  “You see Mommy,” he said while packing his action figures into a Ziploc baggie, “I don’t need a work job because I’m just gonna live with you forever.”  Such sentiments must be cataloged and documented now as surely they’ll slip away [...]
