The latest trend in fitness…neurobics

The buzz in brain health these days is neurobics.  The term was coined by Dr. Katz and involves exercises which help the brain create new connections.  Neurobic exercises involve using senses in different ways. If you want to learn more read Keep Your Brain Alive.  Below are some easy to implement exercises to cross train your brain.   

  • Brush your teeth with your non-dominant hand
  • Take a shower with your eyes closed
  • Distinguish coins by touch
  • Take a whiff of a new scent while dialing a phone number
