Thanks for stopping by the blog and your comments.  I think national health care should be our number priority in the US, but unfortunately I&#039;m not in the majority.  We could learn much from your system.  Of course as you mention every system has issues, but ours has gapping holes.  My family was actually lucky in that my dad had the safety net of retirement funds to tap into, there are millions of Americans that have nothing.

I find it really sad that a country won&#039;t take care of their sick. I&#039;m not too familiar with the US medical system but I have heard many stories like yours and it breaks my heart. I&#039;m from Canada and thankfully we have a national medicare system. It&#039;s not the best and it certainly has flaws but we can at least count on basic medical care without spending our life savings. My heart goes out to you. Keep fighting, you will make a difference.
