So they say the process of finding an agent is subjective. After sending out 10 queries I’m quickly finding this to be true. Out of those 10 queries I’ve received 8 requests for partials. Here’s the thing though, the partials range from 1 chapter to 100 pages. That’s quite a range. My first chapter weighs in at a whopping 18 pages. Can an agent requesting such a small sample really get a feel for the scope of the book? This might keep me up at night…
